VMAA is pleased to welcome Elnaz Zomorrod as our featured guest speaker for the 2026 Annual General Meeting & Social.

With over ten years of experience in the jewellery industry, Elnaz specializes in jewellery appraisal and valuation. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with fine jewellery, gemstones, and precious metals, developing expertise in assessing quality, authenticity, craftsmanship, and market value.

During her presentation, Elnaz will provide an introduction to the appraisal process and discuss the many factors that influence the value of jewellery. She will share insights into industry standards, valuation methodologies, and current market trends, offering valuable information for artists, collectors, students, and anyone interested in the business and appreciation of jewellery.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of how professional appraisals support insurance, estate planning, resale, and collection management.

Seeking Directors and Volunteers

Interested in getting experience in managing arts not-for-profits? Keen to make connections and grow your network? Don't be shy! We'd love to hear from you.

Members and non-members are eligible to run for board and committee positions. If a nominee is not a current VMAA member, they will be required to become a member if elected.

New board members may serve as members at large or volunteer for additional committees. Board members have a seat at the decision-making table when it comes to governing VMAA and shaping its future trajectory.

Volunteers may have lighter responsibilities throughout the year, save for when events or exhibitions necessitate their attention.

Interested in learning more or submitting a nomination?

Check out our volunteer page for more information about each position, or to apply. We encourage people of all levels of experience, all backgrounds, genders, and abilities to do so.
