You are invited to join us and other VMAA members at our annual general meeting. While we can't be together in body, you're invited to join us online while wearing your favourite (and most comment-evoking) adornments.
The AGM is an opportunity for our board to report on the year and for the membership to elect board members and committee chairs for the upcoming year.
Only members in good standing will be eligible to vote. If you haven't yet done so, please renew or purchase a membership beforehand.
Are you passionate about metal and jewellery arts?
Are you interested in adding arts nonprofit volunteer experience to your CV?
Don't be shy! We'd love to hear from you. Members and non-members are eligible to run for board and committee positions. If a nominee is not a current VMAA member, they will be required to become a member if elected. Please visit our volunteer page for more information on each position. CALL: Secretary for the 2021-2022 term The secretary is integral to any board composition. They are responsible for attending regular board meetings, taking minutes, and their role may extend to providing documentation and archival support. It's a great entry-level board position for those new to nonprofit board service and a fulfilling role for the experienced board member.
CALL: Treasurer for the 2021-2022 term
Don't have treasurer experience? Have you ever done basic bookkeeping? Do you have a knack for noticing small inconsistencies in numbers or details? Mocked up a budget? That is more than enough to handle the treasurer role. The treasurer tracks organizational income and spending, and works with the president to generate and report on VMAA's budgets.

If you have headphones that you can plug into your device, please use them. This greatly helps to reduce echo from speaker feedback!
